Digital Education and social media at COVID regime time

World crisis brings with it a lot of problems but the fact that many students from all over the world were blocked by a world disaster called  ”covid19”. This big pandemic virus can make us reflect on the current conditions of our digital and real society.

When the family is under pressure and normal life going to improvisations sides of our daily routine the most affected are the kids and teenagers for many different factors having in consideration that no every person react to a world crisis, in the same way, so to deal with this important subject many families found inspiration on the internet to face with afflictions and anguishes from their kids, this tool calls it youtube became in one of the great salvations for many families because currently with a good internet access families can find different types of information from A to Z now for example YouTubers influencers talking about travels and high qualified professors are helping with useful videos teenage son to improve in the school.

Now the current generation is the ”generation one-click ” or calls it also ”generation can’t wait for ” cause we know that they need the things quickly and fastly so if we took the example of the most popular app for a teenager we find always youtube topping the list and Instagram just because it’s also turned an easy way to get informed. In the early days of Instagram was an app just for teenagers but now Italian government has created an account to divulge official information to arrive at the teenagers and young adults population users of this application also,  society has learned that education must walk together with technology to reach the youngest generation of a teenager. The present generations of teenagers have passed a hard test dealing with staying at home 24hrs for many days in the quarantine.

Not only the government arrives at the teenagers and young people through social media because in the universities Instagram and Facebook were proof that education must be a partnership of technology. During the crisis, the fastest way to know what to do with lessons was click on Instagram or Facebook and check quickly Sapienza Università di Roma account wherein less than 2 seconds the information is there with you coming from an official source indeed like the old days where most people were waiting for actualization from the main page.

Times are changing fastly and many apps from the internet are incredible tools to improve education ways to teach so many professors could not stop and keep working from their houses to continue with one of the more important processes for every human being ”to graduate from the school”.

But what happens when you got no minimum conditions to access the internet or electronic devices for external factors like a low wage?

In general, a crisis like COVID just sharpens the social differences between family A (medium-high) wage and family B (Low wage) so faster can we understand our current conditions and limitations. A lot of people were blocked at home but the main fear of them was their current job contract conditions were the only hope but in the Italian case the welfare it works slow according to the Italian bureaucracy and the immediate necessities can’t wait for the regular ordinary process. Public opinion these days are divided between those who deeply believe that a change it’s gonna come for another part the opposite side is just waiting to settle accounts with a system unfair for too many people segregated for economical parameters.

Fake news on the other hand is a world parallel to social networks. What to do with it? Ban and take legal action against the spreaders of fake news maybe? These Questions arise, unknowns arise. Is this against freedom of expression and speech so important in central Europe? Should this change or continue in the way that it was? We can not forget that digital speed is always faster than any legal action.

Fear helps any platform to quickly divulge what is little known or practically unknown. Not in all countries, it is so easy to spread false news. The case of Russia is serious since those who publish false news are strongly pressured to confess and apologize publicly, while in other countries it is a source of significant profits. Perhaps this is about to be reformed and it will be before another great world collapse, given a lesson to common sense, the worst crisis is disinformation through the social media tools which can be used to improve day by day they way to educate the future generations.
